THE ARMCHAIR CAPTAINS: THE STORY
Joe, Spencer and Luke formed The Armchair Captains while studying at Bangor university, whereupon they released their debut album, Zest and subsequently, the experimental improvised album, Marmalade Syndicate.
The Armchair Captains relocated to Liverpool after graduating.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the chaps occupied themselves with a project of releasing an EP in a different style once every month for a year, except the last one took 2 months... but it was a full length album, Cataclysmia.
The band was embiggened in 2021 by the addition of Alex Earley on drums and Jonny Wood on bass.
At present the band is spewing out new material at an unmanageable pace which it is hoped will one day be assembled into one or more coherent albums.
